Phuket Yacht Haven Marina

8° 10.2′ N · 98° 20.6′ E

Phuket's northernmost marina, established in 1997 at Laem Phrao facing the Phuket-mainland channel, 10 minutes from the airport. It has superyacht berths on its outer wave attenuator and hosts the Thailand International Boat Show each January.

Practical

332 berths (docks A to G, M, O) with power, water and Wi-Fi; the outer attenuator takes up to 30 superyachts to 70 m and 5 m draft (SEAP). Minimum 2.5 m on the approach at low tide and 2 m in the main marina at LAT. Strong currents: the marina encourages manoeuvring at slack water and Noonsite says movements are only practical then. Call VHF 68 on final approach for berth allocation; office +66 76 397 908, emergency +66 63 079 1559, info@pyhmarina.com. Security cards from the marina office. No haul-out; repairs at the berth only. Clubhouse bar and restaurant (The Deck), showers, lockers, gym (from 6am), condo rentals, car hire and taxis. Marina Mart sells groceries with free delivery in the marina. Anchoring north of the marina gives excellent holding; Noonsite says a nominal monthly fee buys use of the facilities and dinghy dock (keep clear of the outer pontoons). Address: 141/2 Moo 2, Mai Khao, Thalang.
