Phalauy Seafood Restaurant (Koh Phaluai)
9° 31.8′ N · 99° 40.1′ E
The only restaurant on Koh Phaluai, a village seafood place at the fishing community on the island's west side, and the one spot in southern Ang Thong to buy a meal ashore.
Practical
OSM node 4424554590 (Phalauy sea food), beside the mapped fisherman's village (node 4424581889). Thai Wikipedia names Paluay Seafood as the island's one restaurant and lists dried fish, dried squid and mullet as local specialities. Food and water for yachts: no shop, fuel or water point is published. Thai Wikipedia says the island's traditional water supply was the stream through Sam Bo Cave; do not count on topping up tanks here, and arrive with full water from Nathon or Bangrak. About 438 people live on the island in 102 households (Thai Wikipedia), with homestays, camping and Angthong Beach Resort (10 rooms, OSM, at 9.50961, 99.68846). A village ferry runs to Don Sak on the mainland on even-numbered dates only, leaving Don Sak at 1pm and returning from the island at 7:30am (150 THB, undated, verify locally). Access: the Island Spirit guide (2023) warns that the west-coast village bays have shallow dredged channels for fishing boats and advises leaving them alone, so anchor at Pinnacle Beach on the north coast and go round by dinghy only in calm weather, or ask locally. Hours are not published.
