Koh Yao Noi Village Market and Mini-marts
8° 6.0′ N · 98° 35.7′ E · approximate
Koh Yao Noi's largest village sits about 1 km inland from the ferry jetty and is the best place in the Yao islands to top up stores, with local shops, small restaurants and a market.
Practical
Position approximate: about 1 km inland from Manoh Pier, as the Southeast Asia Pilot describes; the exact market location is not published. Anchor at Chong Koh Yao (7–10 m) and land at the jetty. The island also has a hospital, post office and ATMs, according to Wikivoyage. The villages are Muslim, so dress modestly. Alcohol is sold at mini-marts on the east-coast tourist strip (for example the Green mini-mart at Long Beach). OpenStreetMap places the island's 7-Eleven, bakery and police station further north, about 2.7 km by road from the pier (see Koh Yao Noi Town Centre).
