Koh Tup Sandbar (Thale Waek)
7° 57.7′ N · 98° 48.6′ E · approximate
The twin islets of Koh Tup and Koh Mo are joined by a sand bar that emerges at low tide, so you can walk between them through ankle-deep water. It is part of the classic Krabi 'four islands' circuit with Poda and Chicken Island.
Practical
Position approx: OpenStreetMap islet relation for Koh Thap (Tup). The sand bar shows at low tide (thainationalparks.com). Anchor at the Poda north moorings or the Chicken Island anchorage and go over by dinghy near low water; the bar covers on the flood. Very busy with longtails from about 10am to 3pm. National park fee applies.
