Koh Poda Anchorage (North Koh Dam Hok)

7° 58.6′ N · 98° 48.6′ E

Government moorings and an overnight anchorage off the casuarina-shaded beach on the north side of Koh Poda (Koh Dam Hok, also called Koh Poda Nai), with a karst islet just offshore and shallow coral to snorkel at the northeast end of the beach.

Practical

Southeast Asia Pilot waypoint 07°58.569N 98°48.621E, about 4 nm from Ao Nang. Government moorings in 6 m; secure overnight anchorage in 12 m between the main island and the small islet. Sand, with coral outcrops toward the beach. A bungalow resort and restaurant sit against the hill. Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park: rangers collect the entry fee (the Pilot quotes 400 THB per non-Thai; verify locally). Day-tripper longtails from Ao Nang crowd the beach from mid-morning.
