Koh Sam Sao, the Tripod Island, has a coral reef and a small natural stone arch on its north beach, the park's best snorkelling after the HQ beach.
Practical
Approximate position off the north beach, derived from the OSM outline of Koh Sam Sao (centre 9.6587, 99.6837). thainationalparks.com: several beaches, a coral reef, a small arch on the north beach and a campground (tents rented only at HQ, no shops, rainwater showers that often run dry). Wikivoyage calls the reef extensive. Anchor on sand clear of the coral or snorkel from the dinghy from the Koh Mae Ko anchorage, about 1.8 km to the west. Visibility is best March to April.
