Klong Hia Pier (Koh Yao Yai)

8° 5.1′ N · 98° 33.8′ E

Koh Yao Yai's northern ferry pier, on the creek mouth at the island's north end, with speedboats to Bang Rong on Phuket and an over-water seafood restaurant beside it.

Practical

Position from the OpenStreetMap pier way (Klong Hia Pier). Ferryscanner lists Suwimol Speedboat and Green Planet services to Bang Rong Pier, Phuket, crossing in about 20–25 minutes, first boat from Klong Hia about 8:00am and last about 4:10pm (2026 listing; frequencies differ by season, so verify locally). Phuket101 says transport at the piers is not guaranteed, so arrange a pickup with your hotel. Longtails also cross to Manoh Pier on Koh Yao Noi in 10–15 minutes. Useful for crew changes: anchor in the Chong Koh Yao channel and dinghy across, minding the strong tidal stream in the channel. No fuel dock or water hose is recorded here.
