St Pierre Marine Park Moorings

4° 18.2′ S · 55° 45.1′ E · approximate

A small field of park mooring buoys around St Pierre islet, used for daytime snorkelling and, in settled south-east weather, for a night on the edge of the Curieuse Marine National Park.

Practical

koek.sc describes mooring buoys only (no anchoring), first-come, for about 8 to 10 boats, often all taken by about 8:30am in peak season. Calm enough overnight in the south-east trades; exposed to the north-west. Fees: park entry per person plus SCR 250 per yacht for a night on the moorings (Moorings eGuide 2024; SPGA overnight mooring Rs250). Anchor or moor only in designated areas (SPGA rules). Position is approximate: placed about 100 m east of the islet, where koek.sc puts the best snorkelling buoys; buoy positions not surveyed.
