St Pierre Islet
4° 18.3′ S · 55° 45.0′ E
A tiny granite islet crowned with coconut palms 1.5 km off Pointe Zanguilles, on the edge of Curieuse Marine National Park: the boulder-and-palm image on half the Seychelles brochures, ringed by fish-rich rocks for snorkelling.
Practical
About 100 m across and 10 m high (Wikipedia). The Moorings eGuide treats St Pierre as marine park: per-person landing/park fee plus SCR 250 for the boat if you take a night mooring (2024 edition; SPGA lists non-resident marine-park entry at Rs200–300, payable by card on site). koek.sc advises snorkelling off the eastern buoys around low tide and arriving about 8am, before the Praslin day-trip boats. Stinging jellyfish have been reported in the water here (cruiser log, 2007). No fishing, collecting or spearguns in the park (SPGA).
Best for
Iconic snorkel stop between Côte d'Or and Curieuse
Season
Best in calm or SE-trade weather; exposed to the NW monsoon
