Where to sort cooking gas and road fuel by jerry can on Mahé's east coast: Noonsite confirms LPG bottles can be filled in Victoria, and Seychelles Petroleum (Seypec) runs filling stations along the East Coast Road.

Practical

Pin is the Seychelles Petroleum (SEYPEC) station on East Coast Road, Cascade/Pointe La Rue (OpenStreetMap), handy between Eden Island and the airport; another SEYPEC station is on East Coast Road in Anse Royale (6am-10pm daily, SEYPEC). Cooking gas: SEYPEC says empty LPG cylinders can be replaced at all its service stations and appointed district distributors, and new cylinders bought at SEYPEC HQ (New Port, Victoria) or any station with ID; it is an exchange system for local 5-24 kg cylinders, so foreign bottles may not be refillable (see the SEYPEC Victoria South Service Station entry for the nearest point to Eden Island). LPG SCR 17.50/kg, diesel SCR 25.19/litre (SEYPEC, 14 September 2026). Fuel at the commercial wharf in Port Victoria is very expensive and needs 24 hours' notice to the Harbour Master; most yachts take diesel at Eden Island or by jerry can.
