4° 38.0′ S · 55° 29.9′ E · approximate

Cerf is the marine park island where visitors can land and eat: a beach Creole lunch, the Kapok Tree restaurant or the island's small hotels, with fruit bats and tortoises about.

Practical

Approximate: pin is the island centroid from OpenStreetMap; the restaurants are along the beaches. Wikipedia lists three restaurants including the Kapok Tree, a beach bar, a small shop, a spa and three accommodations (Cerf Island Resort, Fairy Tern Chalets and L'Habitation); day visitors can eat at the beach restaurants, and tour lunches are usually a Creole barbecue (moyenneisland.com). Call ahead for a table, especially for dinner. Land by dinghy on the beaches; there are no roads. Park fee SCR 200 per person applies. About 100 residents live on Cerf, so respect private plots.
