St Anne Sand Bank (red zone outside Eden Island channel)
4° 38.3′ S · 55° 29.1′ E · approximate
A shallow sand bank just outside the Eden Island Marina exit that is hard to see from the helm; The Moorings marks it as a red zone where skippers are liable for the full cost of any damage.
Practical
Approximate: The Moorings gives no position, only that the bank lies at the exit of the base; the pin is placed just east of Eden Island as a warning marker, not a surveyed hazard. Check BA 722 (Port Victoria and approaches) or your plotter and keep well clear. Rule from The Moorings: keep the green buoy on your port side when leaving and track your GPS. If you touch: a rising tide lifts you off; on a falling tide motor off at once the way you came, call the base, and expect up to 12 hours to refloat.
