Farquhar Guest House and Fishing Lodge
10° 6.9′ S · 51° 10.3′ E · approximate
The IDC guesthouse on North Island, rebuilt after Cyclone Fantala and reopened in October 2017: six lagoon-facing chalet rooms with solar power, used by Blue Safari's fly-fishing groups.
Practical
This is not a restaurant for passers-by: arrange any contact through IDC and Blue Safari. The settlement has a jetty, and the paved 1,170 m airstrip (FSFA) lies near North East Point, with occasional IDC flights. About 34 residents lived here when Fantala struck. Coordinate is approximate: settlement area at the north of North Island, near the OpenStreetMap airstrip.
