4° 17.0′ S · 55° 43.9′ E
The marine park headquarters on Anse Papaie, Baie Laraie — the rangers' quarters, the tortoise sanctuary and the place to pay and ask about moorings, trails and the turtle walk.
Practical
Fees (SPGA, current site): entrance Rs300 per non-resident over 12 (residents and under-12s exempt); overnight mooring Rs250 per yacht; seasonal Nesting Sea Turtle Trail Rs150; commercial filming Rs3,000, photography Rs500 (written permission first). Pay by card on site or buy tickets online at spga.gov.sc — cash is not accepted at the park. Older figures (Moorings eGuide 2024: Rs250 per person plus Rs250 per boat; 2019 reports: US$22) are superseded — verify locally. Rangers patrol by boat; expect to be visited at anchor. The north coast including Anse Badamier is a restricted zone. Coordinate from the geotag of the Commons photo 'Anse Papaie with Sanctuaire des Tortues'.
