Narvaez Bay (Saturna Island)

48° 46.6′ N · 123° 5.9′ W

A long, steep-sided bay on Saturna's south-east shore, wholly inside the national park reserve. It feels remote and wild, with forest to the water and views to Boundary Pass, and is a calm-weather anchorage.

Practical

Coordinate is the OSM bay. Check depths on chart 3441/3477 before you choose a spot. Open to the east and south-east, and Boundary Pass swell can roll in; leave if a southeaster is forecast. No buoys or dock. Seven backcountry campsites ashore (reserve through Parks Canada; C$15 per person a night), pit toilets, no water, no fires. Note the Saturna vessel restricted zone off East Point (June 1 to November 30) is a few miles east.
