Curme Islands (Desolation Sound)
50° 6.8′ N · 124° 44.5′ W
A tight cluster of tiny granite islets at the mouth of Tenedos Bay. They are a maze of narrow channels best explored by kayak, paddleboard or dinghy, with BC Parks kayak campsites on them.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM point for the islet group. Not an anchorage for keelboats: the channels are narrow and rocky. Explore by dinghy or kayak from Tenedos Bay in calm weather. BC Parks has campsites (Curme West, East and South). No fires. Watch for wake from passing boats in Homfray Channel.
Best for
Kayaking and paddleboarding
Season
Jun-Sep in calm weather
