Punta Engano Pier (Olango Ferry)

10° 18.6′ N · 124° 1.4′ E · approximate

The busy outrigger-ferry pier on Mactan's eastern tip, next to the former Hilton (now Mövenpick) resort, where passenger bangkas leave for Santa Rosa on Olango and island-hopping boats tout for trips.

Practical

Approximate coordinate at the Mövenpick Hotel Mactan in OpenStreetMap, which Wikivoyage says is next to the pier (locals call it the 'Hilton pier'). Ferries to Santa Rosa (10.2732°N 124.0421°E) run every half hour or so in daylight - about 40 PHP plus 5 PHP terminal fee in 2024, roughly 20 minutes; they do not run in bad weather. Boats also go to Getafe on Bohol. Island-hopping boats to Nalusuan, Hilutungan and Caohagan can be haggled for here. A taxi from the airport is only about 30 PHP and from downtown Cebu about 300 PHP (Wikivoyage).
