Santa Rosa Wall (Olango)
10° 16.9′ N · 124° 3.0′ E
A reef wall off Olango's west coast near Santa Rosa that drops from the reef edge to 45 m - the shallowest and gentlest of Olango's main sites, with dolphins sometimes seen in the area.
Practical
Waypoint from Wannadive (10°16.9'N 124°02.95'E; the site itself flags its waypoints as approximate). Wannadive: average depth 18 m, maximum 45 m, current usually low (under 1 kn), visibility 10-30 m, advanced (AOW) level suggested; about 20 minutes by dive boat from Mactan's east-coast resorts. The 12go guide calls Santa Rosa the shallowest of Olango's three main sites, just south of Baring. Dive with a Mactan or Olango operator; do not anchor on the wall - the area is inside the Olango reef protected zones.
