Olango's west-side reef wall drops steeply into the Hilutungan Channel; local dive sites include Mabini Point at the northern tip, Baring on the north-west side and Santa Rosa mid-way down the west coast.
Practical
Overview entry; coordinate is Santa Rosa port on Olango's west coast (OpenStreetMap). Individual waypoints are now listed as separate entries: Santa Rosa Wall, Bas Coral, Talima (Tauma) Wall, Tingo Point, and the technical Olango Cave and Tingo Wreck (Wannadive waypoints). Wikivoyage warns that currents at Mabini Point are tricky. The Olango reef system (about 4.5 km² around Nalusuan and Hilutungan) is a government-protected fish sanctuary. Dive with a Mactan or Olango operator; Olango's resorts can arrange boats.
