Olango Cave and Tingo Wreck (Technical Dives)
10° 15.6′ N · 124° 4.2′ E
Two deep technical sites off Olango's east side: a cave whose floor sits at exactly 60 m behind a slope of gorgonians and soft coral with a resident school of big snappers, and a dive-boat wreck lying at 75-85 m off Tingo Point.
Practical
Coordinate is the Olango Cave waypoint from Wannadive (10°15.612'N 124°04.23'E; flagged approximate); the Tingo Wreck waypoint is 10°17.598'N 124°04.245'E, about 50 m north of a cavern below Tingo Point, with a nice cavern at 40 m on the ascent. Both are listed for trimix-qualified technical divers only: Olango Cave average 50 m, maximum 61 m, reached by banca with a floating bamboo marking the drop-off; Tingo Wreck 60-85 m with boat traffic overhead. Arrange with a technical dive centre on Mactan; not for recreational divers.
