11° 59.1′ N · 120° 6.8′ E

An almost landlocked bay between Apo Island and Busuanga that cruisers have used as a typhoon hole, close to the wrecks of Coron Bay.

Practical

Sloepmouche (2017): 11 59.05N 120 06.77E in 12 m mud; no Globe, weak Smart. Lifelines (2008): 11 59.01N 120 06.74E in 12 m mud, excellent typhoon hole with all-round protection. Arnak (2013) anchored at 11 59.937N 120 06.162E in 4 m mud and sat out the edge of Typhoon Bopha with only about 50 kn, two anchors in tandem, chain and nylon rode; the anchors were buried about a metre deep. Webb (2009): 11 m mud, well protected but muddy and not very pretty; beware of shallows in the centre.
