La India Cove (Chachacual)

15° 42.5′ N · 96° 11.9′ W · approximate

A tiny nook tucked behind rocks at the east side of Bahía Chachacual, with a golden-sand beach and reef snorkeling; calm room for two or three boats once the party boats leave.

Practical

Approximate: placed off the OSM outline of Playa La India (15.7099, -96.1973). Roads Less Traveled anchored here in Feb 2012. Tour boats arrive from town every day to land swimmers and snorkel the coral, so anchor outside the swim area; a 2025 crew chose Playa Chachacual instead because of the tour traffic. Rangers patrol the turtle-nesting beach.
