Bahía Tiburoneros Landing (Isla Isabela)
21° 50.7′ N · 105° 53.0′ W · approximate
The 125 m coral-rubble and sand beach in the south-side cove where the fishermen's camp stands. It's the only place on Isla Isabela where the park allows visitors to land, and the trailheads start here.
Practical
CONANP's management program (DOF, June 16, 2006) allows landings only at Bahía Tiburoneros (also called Bahía de Pescadores). Landing anywhere else without authorization is prohibited. Landing or beaching any boat on Playa de Las Monas, the main blue-footed booby nesting beach on the east side, is specifically banned. Rule 40 puts the anchoring area for ships, sailboats and yachts off Bahía Tiburoneros. The CONANP-reviewed WILDCOAST guide (2022) adds that only small boats may approach and land at public-use sites, so anchor the yacht and come in by dinghy. The fish camp (up to 32 palapas, occupied roughly October–June) is a working camp, and the park says panga berths there are assigned between the park and the fishermen. Keep your dinghy clear of their landing space and don't use their palapas. The beach is coral rubble and medium sand. Rocks fringe the cove, so land in good light and carry the dinghy above the tide line. Pack all trash back to the mainland (park rule). Coordinate is approximate: it's the head of the south-shore cove, taken from the OpenStreetMap island outline.
