Bahía Maguey
15° 43.9′ N · 96° 8.9′ W
An easily reached national-park bay with a 500 m beach, calm, clear green-blue water and a row of seafood palapas: lively by day, quiet at night.
Practical
Position is the OpenStreetMap centroid of Bahía Maguey. A 2025 crew anchored here in calm, clear water and dinghied to the beach. Maguey is less sheltered than Organo next door; move to Organo ahead of a forecast Tehuano. Road access means you can get a truck to La Crucecita: that crew hired a driver to fill diesel jugs at a La Crucecita gas station. One of the two busiest bays in the park, so expect tour boats.
