A big coral reef off Playa La Entrega in Santa Cruz Bay, roped off from boat traffic and full of canyons, caverns and tame fish: king angelfish, puffers, trumpetfish, even spotted eagle rays. Cruisers rate it the best snorkeling in the Bays of Huatulco.

Position from OpenStreetMap. Swim or dinghy from the Santa Cruz anchorage, staying outside the roped swim zone with the dinghy. Crowded with tour-boat and road visitors by day: go early. Practical Sailor's author anchored off Entrega for three months in 2020 and swam with turtles on the reef. Bring a dive flag if you swim from the boat.
