Sulphur Mine Trail
17° 38.5′ N · 63° 13.7′ W · approximate
A 40-minute walk down from Hell's Gate to the old McNish sulphur mine on the north coast, past an historic sulphur oven, with cliff views over the airport and seabirds wheeling below.
Practical
Approximate: placed at the lower edge of Zion's Hill village (OpenStreetMap village node 17.63904,-63.22908), near where SCF says the trail starts - at the end of the paved road on the second side road to the left going down from Upper Hell's Gate toward the airport. Moderate, about 40 minutes one-way (SCF). Entering the mine itself requires a guide; Wikivoyage warns sulphur fumes inside can cause unconsciousness within seconds - do not enter alone. A section toward Mary's Point is reported unmarked.
