La Baleine Dive (Les Saintes)
15° 52.8′ N · 61° 35.2′ W
A reef at the north entrance to the bay, named for a green buoy and a breaking reef that spouts like a whale; three coral heads give several dive routes down to about 20 m.
Practical
Position from the OpenStreetMap dive-site node. 19 m max, N1/Open Water. Hundreds of sergeant majors round the buoy and a turtle often near the dive-boat mooring (La Dive Bouteille). The reef sits in the Passe de la Baleine approach - see that passage for the hazard to yachts.
Best for
An easy reef dive close to town
