Bourg des Saintes (Le Mouillage Village)
15° 52.1′ N · 61° 34.9′ W
Terre-de-Haut's harbour village - colourful Creole houses with red roofs, the Place du Gouverneur Lion at the pier, the 17th-century Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption church and the ship's-bow 'Maison-Bateau' built into the hillside in 1942.
Practical
Position is Wikipedia's coordinate for the Mouillage quartier. Town walk from the dinghy dock: tourist office, church, seaside cemetery with shell-decorated graves, Maison-Bateau (now the doctor's house). Busy with ferry day-trippers from late morning to mid-afternoon; calmer in the evening. ATMs are scarce and some shops don't take cards - carry cash (tourism board). Mostly scooters, e-bikes and electric carts; cars are rare.
