Half Moon Bay

17° 2.3′ N · 61° 41.3′ W

A wide crescent of white sand on the south-east coast, now a National Park and regularly named among the world's best beaches; open to the Atlantic, with surf on the north end and calmer water to the south.

Practical

Position is the OpenStreetMap beach. Popular for kite-surfing and picnics (tourism board). Not a yacht anchorage: the bay faces the Atlantic. Visit by taxi from Nonsuch Bay or English Harbour (south of Nonsuch Bay, near Mill Reef). Swim with care in the surf.

Best for

A beach day by road from Nonsuch Bay
