The quiet bay on the north side of the Cabrits, off TanTan beach inside the Cabrits marine area: clear water, a handful of boats and good snorkelling along Douglas Point.
Practical
Position is OpenStreetMap's 'Douglas Bay' label point (approximate - pick your spot by eye). Noforeignland users (rated 4.9) report mooring balls that are easy to pick up in a calm bay, managed locally by 'Bongo', with clear water and good snorkelling; no fee or depth figures verified. Part of the Cabrits National Park marine section - follow local guidance on anchoring. Dive sites: Douglas Point canyon and tunnel at the southern end, Douglas Point wall dropping to 50 ft then sloping to 180 ft; Five Finger Rock off the Cabrits. Douglas Bay/TanTan beach is listed among Dominica's most popular beaches. Open to the north - expect it to be uncomfortable in northerly ground swell.
