17° 40.8′ N · 61° 52.4′ W · approximate

An anchorage off the remote northern end of the west-coast barrier, near the Barbuda Belle hotel and the mouth of the frigatebird lagoon. Nothing lies ashore but mangroves and pink-tinged sand.

Practical

Coordinate approx: placed about 450 m off the barrier beach south of Cedar Tree Point (OpenStreetMap locality node N17 41.75 W061 53.18), on the line in from Doyle's approach waypoint LBAU04 'Cedar Tree Point aprch' (N17 40.5 W061 54.5). Check Barbuda's Blue Halo zoning before anchoring here. A 2017 skipper report on Noonsite says anchoring is allowed only in designated zones, with fines of US$100 plus US$5 a day for a first offence and US$250 for a second, and that anchoring north of Cedar Tree Point is no longer allowed. Exposed to northerly winter swell. The Barbuda Belle hotel (7 bungalows, Mangrove restaurant) is near the point.
