Nevis's informal, open-entry regatta and sailing festival, held since 2008 in the slow season and built around the Booby Island Cup - a race round Booby Island and through the Narrows, open to any yacht and any crew.

Practical

Position is Booby Island (Wikipedia). Grew from 3 boats in 2008 to 16 by 2014 and became a three-day festival in 2015 (Caribbean Compass/All At Sea listed 8-10 May 2015). The 2016 edition (30 April-2 May) ran 'Chase the Monkey' from White House Bay, St Kitts, to Cades Bay, Nevis, via Monkey Shoals; 'Round De Rock' from Oualie Bay round Nevis to Charlestown pier; and the Booby Island Cup from Oualie Bay, finishing with a party at the Nevis Yacht Club, with registration the Friday before. The event website listed then no longer resolves (2026) - check with the Nevis Tourism Authority or locally whether it still runs and when. A 2014 tourism release also named a 'Nevis Race Week' among off-season events; no current details were found.
