Lovers Beach Anchorage
17° 12.4′ N · 62° 36.2′ W
An anchorage off Lovers Beach on Nevis's north coast, beside the airport - a refuge when the wind goes south-southwest.
Practical
ActiveCaptain (Oct 2025): used in SSW winds, good holding; it is right next to the Vance W. Amory airport and a landing plane passed barely above the masthead at sunset. The airport does not operate after dark. Outside the NASPA mooring area - check with the Port Authority before staying. Wikipedia lists Lovers Beach among Nevis's sheltered swimming beaches.
Best for
A bolt-hole in southerly winds
Season
