Cameo Island
37° 42.8′ N · 20° 51.9′ E
A tiny pine-covered islet off Agios Sostis, linked to the shore by a wooden footbridge lit at night, with a beach bar and swimming among fish. Once joined to Zakynthos, it was split off by an earthquake.
Practical
There is an entrance fee to the islet by day and it turns into a paying night venue (zanteisland.com). The islet is right beside Agios Sostis harbour; reach it on foot from the harbour or by dinghy. Swim only from the islet's own platforms, clear of the harbour traffic.
Best for
Sunset drink a few minutes' walk from Agios Sostis harbour
