Bisti Bay (Hydra)
37° 17.9′ N · 23° 22.1′ E
A pine-fringed cove of turquoise water on Hydra's western tip (also called Kavouri), with a shallow pebble beach and snorkelling along the reef.
Practical
Sailingissues anchorage marker. Good holding, but exposed to N–E winds, and swell can make it uncomfortable. Mildly touristy in season (tripper boats, sunbeds for rent); the beach is partly organised and favoured for water sports, deep diving and scuba. Snorkel the turquoise water near the reef. Forest here survived the 2007 fire. Over 10 km from town — come by boat.
Best for
Daytime swim and snorkel; settled-weather night
Season
Southerly or light winds; exposed N–E
