Khokhlakoi Fish Taverna (Mandraki, Nisyros)
36° 36.7′ N · 27° 7.9′ E
A fish and Greek taverna at the western end of Mandraki's waterfront lane, near the black-pebble Hohlaki beach under the Panagia Spiliani monastery.
Practical
Listed in OSM as 'Χοχλάκοι' (Khokhlakoi Taverna), cuisine fish and Greek. It sits on the village lanes about 700 m west of the ferry and yacht quay; berths at Mandraki are few and the harbour is untenable in strong northerlies (Sailing Issues; mySea), so most sailors come over by scooter or taxi from Pali (about 3 km). Wikivoyage advice for Mandraki: avoid the restaurants that tour guides steer day-trip groups to, and walk off the main tourist paths; the day boats from Kos leave in the afternoon, after which the town is calm. Nearby on the same lane OSM maps a wine shop and several cafes (Ta Liotrivia, Remezzo).
