Hippocrates Plane Tree

The giant oriental plane under which, legend says, Hippocrates taught; the current tree is about 500 years old and possibly a descendant of the original.
Practical
On Platia Platanou opposite the castle and beside the Gazi Hassan mosque; its crown is about 12 m across and its branches are propped on scaffolding (Wikipedia). Two minutes' walk from the old-harbour quay. Cuttings from it grow at medical schools all over the world.
