Heinkel He 111 bomber wreck (Blefouti)
37° 11.8′ N · 26° 48.9′ E
A large section of a German Heinkel 111 bomber, dragged here by fishing nets, lying in shallow water off the Blefouti coast; the rest of the aircraft has never been found.
Practical
Diving on Greek wrecks is restricted: these are among the 91 modern wrecks the Culture Ministry listed in 2021 for organized, guided dives, so go with the local dive centre (Hydrovius, Krithoni) rather than independently from your yacht, and take nothing. Depth 16 m (Hydrovius site page; map pin 18 m); aegeanislands.gr puts it at 17 m off Blefouti beach. Open Water level. Coordinate is the Hydrovius dive-map pin. Blefouti Bay (Leros) is also a yacht anchorage.
Best for
Easy WWII aircraft dive
