Finiki Harbour (Karpathos)

35° 29.5′ N · 27° 6.9′ E

A tiny fishing harbour on Karpathos's south-west coast with clear water, fish tavernas and a sailors' monument. It is the closest Karpathos harbour to Kasos, about 10 nm away.

Practical

MarinaTips: there are lines in the water, but there is little space for yachts because of local boats; moor stern-to if a gap is free. No fees (2020 note), water on the quay, no electricity. Exposed: W to SW swell enters, and there are rocks in the harbour. Calm conditions only. Anchor holding is good. Restaurants ashore. A pharmacy is in nearby Arkasa (OSM).

Best for

Fish dinner and a jumping-off point for Kasos

Season

Calm weather; exposed to W–SW swell
