Agios Spyridon Anchorage (Saria)

35° 50.3′ N · 27° 13.8′ E

A mountain-ringed cove on the south side of uninhabited Saria, just across the narrow strait from Karpathos. Sheep and donkeys are the only neighbours, and it is the usual starting point for the walk to Palatia.

Practical

MarinaTips: holding is good on sand. Moderate protection overall but poor from the SW; avoid strong SW and N winds. The pebble beach is reachable only by boat. No mobile data. Saria is a Natura 2000 area and a monk-seal breeding area (Barbaros): keep clear of sea caves, do not land at caves or approach seals.
