Otzias Rock Shelf Snorkel (Kea)
37° 40.5′ N · 24° 21.0′ E · approximate
A shelf of rock along part of Otzias Bay that greektravel singles out as good for snorkelling. Otzias is one of only two Kea bays where scuba is banned to protect underwater archaeology, but snorkelling is allowed.
Practical
Kea Divers states Otzias and Karthea bays are for swimming and snorkelling only (scuba prohibited because of archaeological sites). Do not touch or remove anything from the seabed. The coordinate is approximate: the OpenStreetMap Otzias beach feature; the rock shelf runs along the edges of the bay. Water is calm in southerlies, but the bay is open to N-NNE.
Best for
Snorkel straight off the Otzias anchorage
