Otzias Beach (Kea)

37° 40.5′ N · 24° 21.0′ E

A sandy beach about 700 m long at the head of Otzias Bay, mostly shallow and lined with tamarisks. It is one of the best family beaches on Kea, directly in front of the anchorage.

Practical

Greektravel says the beach is mostly shallow, that the east end is sheltered from the north wind and that the west side stays quiet even when the east side is full. Taverna Otzias rents beds and umbrellas. Greeka lists it as partly organized. Land the dinghy at the quiet west end. Scuba diving is banned in the bay (archaeological sites), but swimming and snorkelling are allowed. Position from OpenStreetMap.
