Joanna's Niko's Place (Megali Ammos)
37° 26.3′ N · 25° 19.6′ E · approximate
A well-loved family taverna on Megali Ammos beach, a 10-minute walk south of Chora. Locals and sailors go for home cooking at fair prices, a rarity on Mykonos.
Practical
Wikivoyage: Megali Ammos is the closest beach to Chora, beside the main road, with 'a wonderful tavern, Joanna's Niko's Place'. Secondary guides say it takes cash only (verify). From an Ornos anchorage it's a short taxi or bus ride, or a walk along the coast road. Megali Ammos has a big rock slab in the water and no sunbeds because of the northerlies, so it's no use as an anchorage. Position is approximate: the taverna isn't mapped on OSM, so this is the OSM Megali Ammos beach.
