Mykonos Windmills (Kato Mili)
37° 26.7′ N · 25° 19.5′ E
The row of white, thatch-capped Venetian windmills on the ridge above Little Venice, first built in the 16th century to grind grain. They're the island's emblem and a useful daymark when entering the Chora bay.
Practical
Free to walk around at any hour. The ridge is the most popular sunset viewpoint, so it's crowded at dusk. Most mills are now private homes, and the Boni mill operates as a small museum (Greeka). From here, stairs lead straight down into Little Venice.
