Taha'a Sunset over Bora Bora (west reef motus)
16° 36.5′ S · 151° 33.9′ W · approximate
From the west-side motus around Tautau, the sun drops behind Bora Bora's peaks about 12 nm to the northwest. It is the classic Taha'a sundowner view.
Practical
Position approximate: on Motu Tautau beside Le Taha'a (OSM). The best public vantage is your own cockpit in ZMR de Tapuamu or Vaiorea, or sunset drinks at Le Taha'a by reservation. Lagoon navigation is daylight only, so be on your anchor or mooring before dark rather than motoring back from the motus. Distance measured between Motu Tautau and central Bora Bora.
