Rotoava Total Fuel Station (quay)

16° 3.3′ S · 145° 37.2′ W · approximate

The only marine fuel station in the Tuamotus: bring the yacht alongside the Rotoava quay and pump diesel or petrol straight into your tanks, duty-free with a certificate.

Practical

Dock depth 3 m at low tide and 4 m at high tide (2025 brief); a 2019 report found 4-5 m with deep bommies around. Closed from noon to 3 pm. Contact Anna, ph +689 40 98 40 11 (Tumoana Market, the station store). Hours reported in 2022: Monday to Saturday, 7:30 am to noon and 3 pm to 5 pm. Soggy Paws calls it the 'Pacific' station (2022); older reports say Total. Duty-free fuel certificates are accepted (check the discount on your receipt), but the whole boat must come alongside, not jerry cans (2022). The weekly supply ship can also sell diesel by the litre, or petrol by the drum (2019). The Boulangerie sold outboard petrol in 2019. Coordinate approx: placed at the Rotoava quay area, between Kaina Plongee (OSM, which Soggy Paws puts just north of the quay) and the public slipway (OSM). The building itself is not individually mapped.
