Puaumu to Teapuri Reef Walk
23° 1.2′ S · 134° 55.1′ W · approximate
At a king-tide low, you can walk 1.5 miles across the exposed barrier reef from Puaumu to the uninhabited motu Teapuri, poking through tide pools full of sea creatures.
Practical
approx: the pin is Pitufa's Puaumu anchor spot. The walk starts from the motu ashore, and Teapuri's position is not published. Go only on the lowest tides (full or new moon) and watch the time so the flood doesn't catch you. Wear reef shoes and don't step on live coral.

A low-tide adventure on the outer reef
