One Palm Motu Anchorage (Gambier NE)
23° 2.3′ S · 134° 54.8′ W
A tiny motu named for its last surviving palm, with healthy coral, big fish and friendly sharks between the motus. It feels remote yet still catches a whisper of 2G.
Practical
Coordinate from Sugar Shack (Jan 2021): 5 m of sand between bommies with four floats on the chain. Also used: 23 deg 02.331'S 134 deg 54.814'W in 5 m (April 2020). Floating the chain is essential. Calm weather only, since there is little protection. Great snorkeling and paddleboarding between the motus.
Best for
Calm-day snorkeling stop on the NE reef
