A big lone tree on the tip of Mangareva known as the Queen's Throne, with a long, easy road walk to a view across the lagoon in several directions.

approx: the compendium places it at the tip of the island about 3.4 miles north of the main dock by road. No published position, so the error may be up to 1 km; follow the sign 'Pt. Mataiutea'. From the main dock turn right and follow the road to the end. It changes from concrete to dirt and back. Turn right at the sign and walk down the little trail to the tree. About 7 miles round trip and very easy.
