Two Palm Island Reef & Small Wreck Snorkel (West Coco Bandero)

9° 31.1′ N · 78° 38.8′ W

A ring of coral round little Two Palm Island at the western end of the Coco Banderos, small enough to snorkel right round, with a small wreck on its outer side, good corals and good fish.

Practical

Position is SY Balvenie's anchorage off the end of Two Palm Island, 09°31.067'N 078°38.838'W, 6 m sand (2012); snorkel straight from there. Very good snorkelling round the island, including the small wreck on the outer side; some surge. The anchorage between the bigger island and the breaking reefs is more exposed if the recommended spot is full; slightly rolly. A $10 anchoring charge was collected here in 2012 (verify locally).

Best for

An easy round-the-island snorkel with a wreck
